Calling All True Adventurers

Paraiso Escondido is more than just a Guest House, it is a community where upbeat travellers, musicians, bohemians and awakened souls gather

Our Philosophy

We have built a place that embeds the values we care for – giving back to society, being part of a community and living in harmony with nature while leaving the smallest footprint possible. We offer our guests a real experience, not only a place to stay. You will sleep to the sound of the waves and let yourselves go the music beats of San Pancho.

There is an onsite Yoga Studio which runs several classes a day. We also have the privilege to host one of the best acupuncturists and Chinese doctors we have ever came across.

Our Place

We are located 50 yards (40 meters) to the beach, down a little pedestrian street, and opposite the town's plaza where the Farmers Market is held every Tuesday. All the charming cafes, restaurants and boutique shops are 100 yards (90 meters) from our front door.

Paraiso Escondido offers the following lodging options:

You'll find plenty of places to have a siesta on a hammock, sun lounge on our big day beds or enjoy a cold beer around the bar. It is open to the elements and you'll hear the waves from your bedroom. The big palapas over each living area offer a welcome shelter in rainy season.

Many groups of friends and large families have chosen to hire the entire place which can lodge up to 27 people. It feels like sharing a large house around the pool area, while providing everyone enough privacy for some quite time.

Taxis: You can take a taxi to San Franscico directly from Puerta Vallarta Airport. It will cost around $800 pesos.

Bus: If you don't have much luggage, an easy option for arrival is the bus to San Franscico. Exit the airport building and take the pedestrian bridge over the main highway. The buses stop right there. Watch for a green “COMPOSTELA” line bus with a sign in the front window saying “San Pancho”. There is about 1 bus every hour, and the passage is about $40 pesos. You'll need to pay in cash in pesos.

Car Rental: The roads are paved, easy to navigate and generally in good condition. This makes rental cars a viable option for travel here. We suggest renting a car so that you have more time to explore the area. As you are a foreigner, you are required to have at least liability insurance which is added on to the price advertised. We'd highly recommend clarifying this before renting a car.

Private Cars / Limos: Paraiso Escondido is happy to arrange a private shuttle in an air conditioned vehicle for about US$ 150 each way (up to 4 people) to accommodate you and your travel itinerary. Please email us to arrange a transfer for you.
